Meet Me

With eight years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working with students across a variety of learning environments and supporting children with diverse academic and learning needs.

I began my career as an elementary school teacher in Washington, DC, where I developed a strong foundation in literacy instruction and a passion for helping students become confident, engaged learners. I later transitioned to teaching World Cultures at a specialized school serving students with dyslexia, an experience that deepened my understanding of dyslexia and the importance of explicit, structured, and individualized instruction.

For the past two years, I have worked as a school librarian and reading interventionist, combining my love of literacy, books, and learning with targeted reading support. These experiences have shaped my belief that students thrive when instruction meets them where they are and builds upon their individual strengths.

I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University at Buffalo. I am also credentialed in Orton-Gillingham through the Institute for Multisensory Education (IMSE).

At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to educational equity. I believe every child deserves to feel seen, understood, safe, and capable in their learning environment. My goal is not only to help students strengthen their reading and literacy skills, but also to help them recognize themselves as successful and confident learners.
